We're Moving!

Guess what?? It’s official! We’re moving to NEW YORK CITY! Last week, Darrell accepted a job and we visited NYC to find an apartment.

We knew there’d be a lot of questions and figured it would be easiest to point everyone to a link with all the answers. So we’re utilizing my blog as a place for friends and family to read all the details! Below, we’ve tried our best to answer all the frequently asked questions. We pray you’ll grant us grace as we move through the next few months of not only moving across the country but also in the final countdown to our wedding! So many things to do, to learn, to figure out. We’re incredibly excited and yet equally exhausted just thinking of everything we have to do!

FAQs

How did this even happen?

You see, what happened was… we have always discussed where we’d love to live while we are young. We both immediately agreed New York. An unexpected opportunity knocked on Darrell’s door (they sought out him) to return to education. We went and checked it out and it was a perfect fit for him!

When are you moving?

Darrell will move in mid-February. Sarah will move in April.

Where are you going to live?

We found a charming (little) Manhattan apartment in the Upper West Side, a short walk from Central Park.

And Penny???

She doesn’t fully understand, but we know she’s going to LOVE it when she sees all the doggies in NYC.

What about all of your stuff?

Essentially none of it can come with us. So whatcha wanna buy?? Watch Facebook in the coming days for all the goods we’ve got to let go before the big move.

What about the wedding?

The wedding is still on! Nothing has changed there!

So is your wedding registry null & void now or…?

We know all the bridal showers are just around the corner and yes, we have edited the registry (we have registered on Amazon and Zola) but please note, it is now very limited. We just don’t have room for all the pretty things we originally put on the registry. If you really want to give us a gift, as un-fun as it is for the giver, we suggest monetary gifts toward the honeymoon or gift cards we can use to get settled in NYC (Amazon, Wayfair, Macy’s, Target).

I’ve been looking for a cute 3 bed, 2.5 bath house, know any good places?

YES. Call Darrell and he will gladly sell you his house.
